Aeroflot will begin direct flights to Mauritius.
Aeroflot begins regular flights to Mauritius for the first time in the company’s history. From December 23, twice-weekly services from Sheremetyevo will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays by wide-body Boeing 777. Tickets are on sale.
Previously, Russia’s aviation service to Mauritius began in the mid-1990s with the use of Il-62M aircraft. Aeroflot was the first and only foreign airline to get permission from the island’s government to conduct regular flights to Mauritius at the time.
Today, Russian visitors visiting Mauritius may enjoy an extensive hotel infrastructure as well as stunning beaches with coral reefs washed by Indian Ocean waves. The area countryside is famed for its distinctive flora and wildlife, and travelers may rest here all year owing to the pleasant tropical temperature. Mauritius’ peak season lasts from November to May.
