Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing and most environmentally friendly airline*, launched its inaugural flight this week from Václav Havel Airport to Zvartnos International Airport in Yerevan, Armenia.
The new year-round route, served only by Wizz Air flights on the cutting-edge Airbus A321neo aircraft, increases the airline’s position in the Czech capital.
Beginning Wednesday, passengers flying from Prague will be able to fly to Yerevan, Armenia’s capital city located beside the Hrazdan River. Every year, people from all over the world visit the fast-paced and energetic Armenian capital, constructed as far back as 782 BC, for its interesting blend of bustling city life and ancient history. Yerevan has several attractions, including the Cascade Complex, the Matenadaran Armenian Manuscript Repository, and the Geghard Monastery, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is said to house the spear that stabbed Jesus on the cross. Another popular tourist activity is a visit to the famed “Yerevan Brandy Company” manufacturing facility to sample the region’s most famous drink – cognac. Armenia has a rich cultural heritage, beautiful natural surroundings, and a dynamic current culture. Visitors visiting Yerevan may experience the city’s ancient architecture as well as adjacent sights like Garni Temple.
Similarly, Wizz Air will offer travellers arriving from Armenia the amazing opportunity to experience Czehia’s “Golden City,” noted for its numerous stunning cathedrals and sharp spires.
Wizz Air provides its passengers from both Czechia and Armenia flexibility with the WIZZ Flex program, in addition to very low tickets, easy flight schedules, smooth connections, and a fully personalized flying experience. Wizz Air provides a variety of supplementary services to ensure that passengers’ flight experiences are entirely customized and properly adapted to their demands. WIZZ Priority allows passengers to secure ultra-fast check-in and boarding; Fare Lock allows customers to lock in the selected fare for a period of 48 hours without risking missing out on a good deal if they need a couple of days to think about it; and the flexible travel partner service gives customers plenty of time to decide who will accompany them on their next adventure.
