Updates to the JAL Group’s International Flight Plans for the FY2023 Winter Schedule, which were earlier published on August 22, 2023, have been announced. These changes will include further changes to the operations of certain flights to Hawaii, Guam (which will begin in December), and select East Asian destinations.

As demand for leisure travel grows and inbound demand to Japan continues high due to the weakness of the Japanese Yen, JAL will operate the following flights to provide even more convenience to our customers.

  • There will be three flights each week on the Narita-Kona route during the New Year’s holiday season. This would result in a total of 33 flights each week between Japan and Hawaii, including 14 from Haneda, 7 from Narita, 5 from Kansai, and 4 from Nagoya (Chubu) to/from Honolulu.
  • During the New Year’s holiday, the number of flights on the Narita-Guam route will be boosted from four per week to daily.
  • Beginning October 29, JAL will temporarily increase the number of flights between Narita and Hong Kong from 5 to 7 per week (1), and between Narita and Taipei (Taoyuan) from 7 to 14 per week (2).

JAL will also operate seasonal flights on the Kansai-Taoyuan route at a frequency of four flights per week (*3).

(*1) The additional frequency will last from October 29, 2023 until December 27, 2023.

(*2) The additional frequency will last from October 29, 2023 until November 30, 2023.

(*3) These flights will take place between October 29, 2023 and January 8, 2024.

The JAL Group seeks to create social and economic value by establishing “relationships and connections” through air transportation, with the goal of providing a comprehensive route network that meets the changing demands of our valued clients.
