Icelandair handled 364 thousand passengers in October 2023, a 9% increase over the previous month. Year to date, the Company has transported about 3.7 million people, an increase of 18% over the same period last year.
In October, there were 152 thousand passengers traveling to Iceland, 53 thousand leaving Iceland, 136 thousand via travelers, and 24 thousand passengers traveling inside Iceland. Load factor was 81.5%, up 1.3 percentage points year on year, while on-time performance was 80.2%.

“In October, we saw a healthy increase in passenger numbers between years, including a 14% increase in TO passengers, demonstrating our leadership position in serving the Icelandic tourism market.” We just announced our most extensive summer schedule to date, including two new North American destinations, Pittsburgh and Halifax, in 2024, as well as a 10% increase in capacity next year.
