Etihad Airways - Celebrate Ramdan - 1

In February 2024, Etihad Airways experienced a significant increase in its operations, hosting over 1.4 million passengers and achieving an average load factor of 89 percent throughout the month.

Antonoaldo Neves, the CEO of Etihad Airways, highlighted a remarkable 46 percent increase in customer numbers compared to the previous year, in line with the airline’s expansion strategy. He noted that the passenger count for the year up to February reached 2.9 million, marking a 40 percent rise from the same period in 2023.

February was a notable month for Etihad, as it enhanced its fleet by introducing three new 787-9 aircraft. This expansion is part of the airline’s strategy to add new destinations and increase service frequency to key markets.

Furthermore, Etihad announced the launch of two new routes set to commence within the year: one to Antalya, Turkey, and another to Jaipur, India. The latter service will become Etihad’s eleventh direct connection from Abu Dhabi to the Indian Subcontinent.
