easyJet has reached a significant milestone at Belfast City Airport, welcoming its half-millionth passenger since operations began in July 2021.
To commemorate the event, the Rock Choir performed in the terminal, and the 500,000th passenger, Abby Wood, who arrived on a flight from London Gatwick, was given a bouquet of flowers.

From Belfast City Airport, easyJet now serves six UK destinations: Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, and Manchester.

Belfast City Airport Aviation Development Manager Ellie McGimpsey commented:

“Achieving 500,000 passengers in less than two years at Belfast City Airport is an incredible achievement for easyJet, and we were delighted to join with our airline partner to celebrate this occasion and express our gratitude to all passengers for their continued support.”

“easyJet’s services have consistently been popular with passengers looking for convenient and affordable air travel options, and the feedback we’ve received since it started flying from Belfast City Airport has been fantastic.”

“easyJet’s consistent presence at Belfast City Airport is part of our ongoing commitment to providing passengers with unrivaled convenience and connectivity, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with easyJet for many years to come.”

EasyJet’s UK Country Manager, Ali Gayward, stated:

“We are thrilled to have carried over 500,000 passengers to and from Belfast City Airport.” We’ve expanded our operations at Belfast City, providing more domestic connections to a wider choice of destinations than ever before.

“Whether connecting with friends and family, exploring more of the fantastic destinations the UK has to offer, or traveling for business, we are committed to providing great value and a warm welcome.” Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who choose to fly with us from Belfast City.”
