Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Barcelona are among the latest European locations to offer Avios-Only flights.
Avios-Only flights were introduced in April 2023, with the first two selling out within 24 hours of their debut.
British Airways announced its next Avios-Only flights today, opening consumers hundreds of more incentive tickets for the Easter holiday in 2024.
The inaugural Avios-Only flights were announced last month, with 100% of the tickets reserved exclusively for Executive Club Members as Reward tickets. The first two, to Sharm El Sheikh in November 2023 and Geneva in February 2024, were both picked up by Members in less than 24 hours.
Following the success, British Airways has announced the addition of five more return flights that will run as Avios-Only flights in 2023 and 2024. Members will be able to fly on both Avios-Only flights or combine them with other available travel dates.
Reward Seats are ones that may be purchased with Avios at fixed prices. British Airways guarantees a minimum of 12 and 14 Reward Seats as standard on all other short and long-haul flights, respectively, whilst Avios-Only flights ensure that every seat is available to purchase using Avios. Members who book the Avios-Only flight through ba.com can do so in any cabin.
Customers holding British Airways American Express Credit Cards will also be able to utilize their Companion Vouchers on the Avios-Only flights, entitling them to a second ticket for just the taxes and fees, or half the number of Avios.
